# Collaborate with your team in real time

> Use real-time editing, comments, mentions, and activity feeds to keep everyone aligned while working in Mintlify Starter Kit.

Mintlify Starter Kit keeps your team in sync with real-time collaboration tools. You can edit content together, discuss work in context, and track every update without leaving the platform.

  <Step title="Open a shared document or task">
    Navigate to any project and open a task or document. If another teammate has it open, you will see their cursor and changes live.

  <Step title="Leave comments and mentions">
    Highlight any text and click **Comment** to start a thread. Type `@` followed by a teammate's name to mention them. They will receive a notification based on their preferences.

  <Step title="Watch the activity feed">
    The right-side activity feed shows every edit, comment, and status change in chronological order. Click any entry to jump to the exact location in the project.

  <Step title="Resolve and reopen threads">
    When a discussion is finished, click **Resolve** to collapse the thread. You can reopen it later if the topic needs more attention.

  Permission levels control what collaborators can do. **Viewer** can read and comment, **Editor** can modify content, and **Admin** can manage settings and invites. Adjust roles from the project members panel.
