# Create and manage projects in Mintlify Starter Kit

> Learn how to create projects, organize tasks, and archive completed work so your team stays focused in Mintlify Starter Kit.

Projects are the main way to organize work in Mintlify Starter Kit. Each project acts as a dedicated space for tasks, files, discussions, and deadlines. This guide shows you how to create a project and manage its lifecycle from start to finish.

  <Step title="Create a new project">
    Click **New Project** from the dashboard. Enter a name and pick a color label. Choose whether the project is private to you or shared with your team.

  <Step title="Add tasks and sections">
    Inside the project, create sections to group related work. Add tasks under each section, assign owners, and set due dates.

  <Step title="Invite collaborators">
    Open the project settings panel and add teammates by email or from your workspace directory. Set each person's role before sending the invite.

  <Step title="Archive or delete">
    When a project wraps up, click the menu next to the project name and choose **Archive** to preserve it for reference, or **Delete** to remove it permanently.
