# Set up your Mintlify Starter Kit account

> Complete your profile, choose notification preferences, and configure your workspace so your team can start collaborating in Mintlify Starter Kit.

Get your Mintlify Starter Kit account ready in minutes. A quick setup ensures you receive the right alerts and your workspace matches how your team works.

  <Step title="Complete your profile">
    Open **Account > Profile** and add your full name, role, and avatar. A complete profile helps teammates recognize you in comments and mentions.

  <Step title="Set notification preferences">
    Go to **Account > Notifications**. Choose how you want to be alerted: in-app, email, or both. You can set different rules for project updates, mentions, and automation events.

  <Step title="Configure your workspace">
    Navigate to **Settings > Workspace**. Set your workspace name, default timezone, and language. Invite teammates now or skip and invite later from the team settings page.

  <Step title="Verify your email">
    Check your inbox for a verification message from Mintlify Starter Kit and click the confirmation link. This unlocks full access to collaboration and integrations.
