If something is not working as expected, start here. These solutions resolve the most common issues reported by Mintlify Starter Kit users.

Common problems and fixes

Cause: Incorrect password, expired session, or unconfirmed email address.Fix:
  1. Double-check that Caps Lock is off and you are using the correct email.
  2. Click Forgot password on the login page and follow the reset link in your email.
  3. If you recently changed your email, check your inbox for a confirmation link and click it.
  4. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
Cause: Large browser cache, slow network, or browser extensions blocking scripts.Fix:
  1. Refresh the page with Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to bypass the cache.
  2. Disable browser extensions, especially ad blockers or privacy tools, then reload.
  3. Check your internet connection and try a different network if possible.
  4. If the issue persists, contact hi@mintlify.com with your browser version and a screenshot of the browser console.
Cause: The Slack app was revoked, the connected channel was archived, or the API key expired.Fix:
  1. In Mintlify Starter Kit, go to Integrations > Slack and click Reconnect.
  2. In Slack, confirm the app is still installed and has permission to post in the target channels.
  3. Check that the mapped channels have not been archived or renamed.
  4. Send a test message from the integration settings to confirm the connection is restored.
Cause: Expired API key, changed field mappings, or trigger conditions not met.Fix:
  1. In Mintlify Starter Kit, go to Integrations > Zapier and regenerate your API key if needed. Update it in Zapier.
  2. Open the failing Zap in Zapier and review the field mappings. Make sure required fields are populated.
  3. Check the Zap history for error messages. Common issues include missing project names or invalid assignee emails.
  4. Run a manual test in Zapier to verify the trigger and action are configured correctly.
Cause: Notifications disabled in settings, emails caught by spam filters, or incorrect email address.Fix:
  1. In Mintlify Starter Kit, go to Profile > Notifications and confirm that email notifications are enabled.
  2. Check your spam or promotions folder for messages from hi@mintlify.com.
  3. Add hi@mintlify.com to your email contacts or safe-sender list.
  4. Verify your email address in Profile settings. An unconfirmed address cannot receive notifications.
