The Slack integration keeps your team informed by pushing Mintlify Starter Kit updates directly into your Slack workspace. You choose which events trigger notifications and which channels receive them. You can also query project information using slash commands without leaving Slack.

Install the Slack integration

1

Open Integrations settings

In Mintlify Starter Kit, click your avatar and go to Integrations. Find Slack and click Connect.
2

Authorize Slack

You will be redirected to Slack. Select the workspace you want to connect, then click Allow to grant Mintlify Starter Kit permission to post messages and use slash commands.
3

Choose notification channels

Back in Mintlify Starter Kit, map event types to Slack channels. For example, send project updates to #projects and deadline alerts to #alerts.
4

Test the connection

Click Send test message to verify that notifications appear in the selected channel.

Configure notifications

After installation, fine-tune which events trigger Slack messages:
  • Project updates: Task completions, new comments, status changes
  • Deadline alerts: Reminders 24 hours before due dates
  • Team changes: New member invitations, role updates
  • Automation triggers: Alerts when automation rules run or fail
Go to Integrations > Slack > Notification settings to toggle each event type on or off per channel.

Use slash commands

Once connected, anyone in your Slack workspace can use these commands:
You can connect multiple Slack channels to the same Mintlify Starter Kit workspace, so different teams get only the updates they care about.
If you revoke the Slack app in your Slack workspace, notifications will stop immediately. Reconnect from Integrations settings to restore them.
