The Zapier integration lets you connect Mintlify Starter Kit to thousands of other apps without writing code. Build Zaps that react to project events, create tasks from external forms, or sync data between tools automatically.

Connect to Zapier

Open Integrations settings

In Mintlify Starter Kit, click your avatar and go to Integrations. Find Zapier and click Connect.

Generate an API key

Zapier needs an API key to access your workspace. Click Generate key, copy it, and paste it into the Zapier authentication prompt.

Build your first Zap

In Zapier, search for Mintlify Starter Kit in the app directory. Choose a trigger and an action, then map the fields you want to pass between apps.

Test and publish

Run a test in Zapier to confirm the data flows correctly. Once verified, turn the Zap on.

Triggers and actions

  • Project created: Fires when a new project is created in your workspace.
  • Task completed: Fires when a task is marked as done.
  • Comment added: Fires when a new comment is posted on a project or task.
  • Member invited: Fires when a new team member is invited.
  • Deadline approaching: Fires 24 hours before a project or task due date.
  • Create project: Creates a new project with a specified name and description.
  • Create task: Adds a task to an existing project and assigns it to a user.
  • Update task status: Changes a task status (for example, to In Progress or Done).
  • Post comment: Adds a comment to a project or task.
  • Invite member: Sends an invitation to join the workspace.

Sample Zap walkthrough

Here is a common workflow: create a task in Mintlify Starter Kit whenever a new row is added to a Google Sheet.

Choose the trigger app

In Zapier, select Google Sheets as the trigger app. Choose New Spreadsheet Row and connect your Google account.

Choose the action app

Select Mintlify Starter Kit as the action app. Choose Create task.

Map the fields

Match Google Sheets columns to Mintlify Starter Kit fields. For example, map the Sheet’s “Task name” column to the Task name field, and “Assignee email” to the Assignee field.

Test and publish

Add a test row to your Google Sheet, run the Zap test, and confirm the task appears in Mintlify Starter Kit. Turn the Zap on to keep it running.
Use the Deadline approaching trigger to send reminders into Slack, email, or your calendar app so nothing slips through the cracks.
